Our Lady of the Holy Rosary, Kenosha

Our Parish Roots

Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Parish was founded in 1904 by a growing of Italian community in Kenosha. Our current Renaissance Revival style parish building was completed in 1931.

The Holy Rosary Parish family grows in their personal relationship with God the Father through the wisdom of Jesus in the Eucharist and the seven sacraments by the aid of Mary, the Mother of God, and St. Joseph, protector of the Holy Family, to know ourselves as ones being made in the image and likeness of God and to see God in our neighbors what we may serve.

Holy Rosary Church proudly supports two great schools: All Saints Catholic School and St. Joseph Catholic Academy. To live our mission faithfully we believe in investing in youth religious education programs and supporting Catholic education. As we look to the future, we strive to know ourselves as ones being made in the image and likeness of God, and to see God in our neighbors that we may serve.

Our Share

Through much prayer, planning, and conversation, we have identified our greatest needs and initiatives to strengthen our mission and vision for years to come. Our share of the funds raised will be used to imprve the campus by investing in renovations and repairs, secure parish finances, and expand our mission and ministry impact across the greater Kenosha area.

  CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS - $255,000

We are excited to enhance the beauty of our Church by removing the carpet in the sanctuary to let the original marble show. Furthermore, we will put a tabernacle in the middle of the sanctuary and replace the altar with a marble one alongside a new marble platform. We plan to modernize the lighting and audio systems in the sanctuary. Our organ also needs to be refurbished. In De Simone Hall, we need to remodel our bathrooms. We also plan to build an additional room in our Hall to better accommodate large events, such as weddings. Our parking lot at the back of the school needs to be repaired for the safety of our parishioners, those who attend our festival, and the children that go to All Saints School.

  Parish Finances - $51,822

We have always been good stewards of our parish. To ensure the future health and stability of our parish, we will establish a fund to cover future expenses, reduce debt, and build a strategic reserve. T his will ensure that our future generations of parishioners are set for success and cover any unanticipated needs.

  Faith Formation - $55,000

Mission, ministry, and faith formation lie at the forefront of our purpose. It is important to evangelize and pursue charitable works. With the remaining use of our funds, we look forward to increasing our involvement and commitment to mission and ministry across our community.
