Our Parish Roots

Commonly called Resurrection Parish, the formal name of the Parish is “Congregation of the Resurrection” (established in 1997) which is a result of a merger of three parishes. St Peter & Paul (1848) and St. Anthony (1851) started in uncertain times when Wisconsin first became a state. Sacred Heart (1917) started during difficult times as well during the middle of World War One. These early beginnings exemplify the Faith in God and the fortitude our ancestors had resulting in the Faith Community we share today. Our church now serves over 275 families with even more individuals as members, as well as many visitors who enjoy our lively worship and warm community. As our parish continues to thrive, our Love One Another Campaign will help us plan for the future today, mindful of the past we cherish and for which we are so grateful. We will work together to continue the legacy of those who came before us, and to build up and improve our faith community.

THROUGH MUCH PRAYER, PLANNING, AND CONVERSATION, WE HAVE IDENTIFIED OUR GREATEST NEEDS AND INITIATIVES TO STRENGTHEN OUR MISSION AND VISION FOR YEARS TO COME. OUR SHARE OF THE FUNDS RAISED WILL BE USED TO MAKE KEY CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS TO OUR PARISH CAMPUS, INCLUDING PAINTING, PEW REPLACEMENT, AND CARPETING UPDATES.

We are fortunate to have such a strong faith community, as well as a beautiful and comfortable parish and Church in which to pray and worship together. In order to further strengthen our parish, we need to invest in a set of key maintenance efforts/upgrades across our campus. Some of the most pressing projects that we hope to undertake include:

• Painting the church interior • Updating the aging pews

• Replacing the carpet We are excited for this opportunity to invest the future health and prosperity of our parish to benefit the Allenton comunity.
