St. Gabriel Hubertus

Our Parish Roots

The St. Gabriel Parish of today formed in 2002 through the merger of the three richly historic parishes of St. Columba of Colgate, St. Hubert of Hubertus, and St. Mary of Richfield. Dating back to 1842, these three parish communities have been the backbone of rural Catholic life in this part of southeastern Wisconsin for more than 160 years.
Our combined church was completed in 2005 and we continue to grow our faith community with over 1400 registered families. Set among the rolling farmlands of Hubertus, St. Gabriel Parish draws worshipers from many neighboring communities.
Our parish believes in the value of Catholic education and has for over 130 years, beginning in 1887 with the St. Hubert Parochial School and continuing today as St. Gabriel Parish School.

Our mission is: We, the people of St. Gabriel Parish, brothers, and sisters in Christ, have as our Mission to proclaim Christ and make disciples through the sacramental life of the Catholic Church, and to create an environment where all can live out this mission.

  CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS - $542,884

We are blessed to have a beautiful building where we come together as a parish family to celebrate the Eucharist, pray and continue God’s work in and around New Berlin. In order to continue to be good stewards of our house of worship, we will use the money raised from the campaign for a number of capital improvement projects. This includes an upgrade to our building security, updating the external and internal locks to be made keyless, and installing security cameras around our complex. In the parish interior, we will replace the 40 year old carpeting and chairs in Sippel hall, potentially update the cabinets and appliances in our lower level kitchen, and possibly convert the lower level into a multipurpose area with office, classroom, and meeting spaces. Finally on the exterior, funds will be used to resurface the silo behind our complex.

  MISSION AND MINISTRY - $300,000

St. Elizabeth Ann Seton proudly supports Notre Dame Middle School in Milwaukee with volunteer labor and donations. The parish would like to provide high school scholarships for students in need of financial assistance. In addition, our parish would like to supplement our parishioner’s generosity with a grant program to benefit the various charities that they support.
