St. Anthony on the Lake Church was built in 1999. Since that time no major modifications have been made to the building. Through the campaign, we will address necessary renovations to the choir area, AV system, upholstering, acoustical panels, carpeting, tile repair/replacement, and interior painting. The Adoration and Memorial Chapel also requires painting, retiling, and recarpeting.
Major projects such as the replacement of both our upper and lower parking lots, church and school backup boilers, select roofing, security and HVAC control software, and school carpeting. These funds will also be used for classroom asbestos removal and new water bottle filling stations across campus.
As we adapt to the needs of today in order to bring about digital ministry in meeting praying, and envisioning, our technological needs have expanded. Our leadership team has prioritized the use of video and high-quality presentation technology in our ministries and communications, prompting the need for improvements in our video production area, equipment, electronic signage, and lighting. We also intend to address an increased use of video conferencing and telecasting and improve the acoustics in our large presentation areas.
Ministries designed to combine Sacred + Social + Service to connect millennials to a community of faith are important initiatives at Saint Anthony’s. However, we have not had the resources to fully implement this. These initiatives involve a collaboration with Faith Formation and Human Concerns to allow for greater cultivation of personal relationships, opportunities for retreat-like formation, and both local and international service, particularly to our sister parish in Peru.
The remainder of the funds raised through this endeavor will be used to eliminate our outstanding debt from the $6.4 Million Parish and School expansion project in 2016. This will free up funds from further interest payments towards meaningful ministries.
